WordPress Version 3.1 Released “Reinhardt”

What is the major feature of the new WordPress Version (3.1 Reinhardt) that make it different with the old version of WordPress? The one I like from this new version (WordPress 3.1) is Internal Linking. You can find it if you write new post on the visual field and when you need to put internal link you can see the button link to existing content. This is the major features of WordPress Version 3.1:
- Internal Linking – click a button for an internal link and it allows you to search for a post or browse a list of existing content and select it for inclusion.
- Admin Bar – contains various links to useful admin screens. By default, the admin bar is displayed when a user is logged in and visiting the site and is not displayed in admin screens for single blog installs. For multisite installs, the admin bar is displayed both when visiting the site and in the admin screens.
- Streamlined Writing Interface – new users of WordPress will find the write screen much less cluttered than before, as more of the options are hidden by default. You can click on Screen Options in the top right to bring them back.
- Post Formats – meta information that can be used by themes to customize presentation of a post. Read more in the article Post Formats.
- Network Admin – move Super Admin menus and related pages out of the regular admin and into a new Network Admin screen.
- List-type Admin Screens – sortable columns for list-type screens and better pagination.
- Exporter/Importer Overhaul – many under the hood changes including adding author information, better handling for taxonomies and terms, and proper support for navigation menus.
- Custom Content Type Improvements – allows developers to generate archive pages, and have better menu and capability controls. Read more in the article Post Types.
- Advanced Queries – allows developers to query multiple taxonomies and custom fields.
- Refreshed Blue Admin Color Scheme – puts the focus more squarely on your content.

Disable link in comment form WordPress

A couple months ago, I had post about how to disable external link in post content. A this time I will show you how to disable all link in comments form without plugin. You know, too many spammer on the net, most of them fill your comment box with hundred comments and links. Here step by step how to disable link in comment for WordPress blog:

1. Open you functions.php (Theme Functions) file in your theme.
2. Put this code on the top after code

remove_filter('comment_text', 'make_clickable', 9); add_filter('comment_text', 'wp_filter_nohtml_kses'); add_filter('comment_text_rss', 'wp_filter_nohtml_kses'); add_filter('comment_excerpt', 'wp_filter_nohtml_kses');

3. Save it.

All is done. Now you can test your comment form. Have work!

Disable Outgoing Links Post WP Plugin

I’d just create plugin that use for disable outgoing link in your blogpost. This plugin work with exclude internal link and will be disable of external link. Just upload the plugin in your blog plugin root directory and activate it. I just recommend to use this plugin if you don’t need to put outgoing link to your post. Just try it!

How could resize the header of Twenty Ten theme?

Theme default of WordPress have been changed. The new theme is Twenty Ten. This theme is very stylist. The header images of exactly 940 × 198 pixels will be used as-is. You can change the header image in any time. Thats available header option to do that. If you think the header theme is too height in size, you can modify and resize them via function.php.

Just change the size 198 in this function.php code:
define( 'HEADER_IMAGE_HEIGHT', apply_filters( 'twentyten_header_image_height', 198 ) );

After you change the height size, you must have an image header in the same size and upload it via header option (on your dashboard). Just the simple huh

The new version of WordPress have been release, WordPress 3.0 thats call as Thelonious. Why do you have to like WordPress 3.0 ?. Thats many new feature on this latest wp, for example you could custom backgrounds, headers, shortlinks, menus, post types and taxonomies.

WordPress theme default have been change, the major new features in this release include a sexy new default theme called Twenty Ten. Well, its still WordPress 3.0 and developers will still develop WordPress until they have any bug again. Its could be 1 month or over ’till WordPress 3.0.x release.
